Maps / GIS

GIS Mission Statement
Our mission is to survey and map the Henry County Water and Sewerage Authority (HCWSA) infrastructure. It is our goal to provide and maintain accurate and complete infrastructure data to our community. The GIS staff members utilize geospatial data that enables HCWSA and Henry County citizens to make informed decisions impacting the future of our county’s infrastructure.
GIS (Geographic Information System) is the result of electronically produced maps layered on top of one another with the ability to create queries and retrieve information about the given area.
MAPPING
The Henry County Water and Sewerage Authority’s GIS department uses a number of software packages to create maps, analyze geographic information, and visually examine the digital features of the infrastructure. The use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) can substantially increase efficiency and effectiveness for all HCWSA employees. A primary goal of the GIS program is to make many of these mapping resources available to the employees in the field.
